We’ve heard the conventional wisdom about the future of food: We need to double the global food supply to feed a population of 9 billion by 2050. “Grow baby grow,” in short. An alternative view puts greater emphasis on the demand side: We need to rethink diets, eat less meat, and reduce food waste. Probably we need to do all of the above. How do we get there from here?
